Chaque voie à aiguillage en Y a un rayon de 852 mm et un arc de 11,25°. Pour créer des voies parallèles avec l’aiguillage en Y R8076, utilisez deux courbes R628.
Les aiguillages Hornby sont fournis pour une opération manuelle et peuvent être convertis pour un fonctionnement électrique à distance en utilisant un « moteur d’aiguillage ».
